iPhone costs

July 4, 2007 | In cmb-web.co.uk | No Comments

I have seen a number of articles over the last day that say that Apple are making a huge profit from their new iPhone. Much the same as they do from their iPod. The tone of these comments has been mixed, but are mostly of surprise.

Now, why should they not? Surely it is the consumer market that drives the price here. If people are prepared to pay it, then Apple will charge it.

I have to say I’m not surprised at all they are doing this.

Google My Maps

May 22, 2007 | In cmb-web.co.uk, Development | No Comments

I discovered the other day that Google now allows you to create your own personalised Maps. What a great idea. I’ve had a go with our honeymoon route, and it’s rather easy to setup. You can login with your Gmail account (presuming you have one) and create maps with lines, shapes and markers. Into the markers you then put text and pictures.

Have a go at http://maps.google.co.uk
